Just do a google search an you'll see something to the effect of": "Any dynamic microphone with a low impedance balanced output, like the SM58, is not affected by phantom power. Phantom Power will not damage a professional dynamic microphone."

You can get a cable splitter so that more than one headphone can be used.

about your headphone situation, just get a headphone amplifier with the 4 xtra ports to hook up more headphones

If you're a musician or a beginning sound engineer, this is a good tool. But if you're just another twitch streamer that mostly want a mic to talk into, there are cheaper less complicated mixers.

Most non condenser mics won’t be effected by the 48v. I have done a few recordings with my friends on this console, I use a blue ember mic and my other mics are SM58s and they don’t need phantom power, but they have been working perfectly. Just watch out if you are using a cheaper 30-75$ dynamic mic cause that could be harmed by 48v but not majorly.
@TheSokodelic3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you should never use phantom power on mics that don't require it. You could end up causing damage to both the mic and possibly the mixer itself.

How did you sync the audio from this mixer to your video in your live streams? Was it an easy process?

Dynamic mics are fine with phantom power!

I'm confused, this is suppose to have two USB ins and 2 USB outs. And yet there is only one row for USB. Also, I'm confused how to apply an effect and assign it to one row, then assign another effect to another row. For example, I might want to apply one effect to a mic vocal input, but another effect to an instrumentl input.

Great for backup. It's analog but sounds clean. Built well, typical Yamaha.

Nice video, but I have a question: If I connect my headphones straight to the Phones Input of the MG10XU, do I hear myself while speaking through the mic or can I disable that?
@yuma_ng3 жыл бұрын
You can disable it by moving the nop from mic input to pc output
@Drmikaeru7 ай бұрын

This seems like a great mixer but I think I've had two lemons in two weeks and Yamaha support isn't helping. The circuit board seems loose when you pull on the knobs near the lower left corner. I've returned the first one to the store and the 2nd one is a little worse. I've made a video for support, but they said it's normal. This can't be! Can you verify on yours, please? @ Thanks!

@dougclendening58962 жыл бұрын
Do the reverb from a effects plug in in your DAW instead. Otherwise, no. This is made for live performances really.

for under 50 bucks you can get a 4 out headphone amp and you can adjust the volume as you want.
@dougclendening58962 жыл бұрын
One major pro is that you can monitor "after" the DAW. (Final product) live via the USB IN from your computer and flipping a switch on the board. As for more than one person monitoring, just hook it up to a 4 port headphone amp. The downside is that you can only record two channels from it into the DAW. Left and right.
