He's making me dizzy I can't see the board. You should be able to assign all vocals to the same sub and the rest to the other sub. Since it's really a mono board, your seriously limited as far as control goes. Use sub outs to record not the mono main and you should get vocals on one track and the rest on another depending on what your recording on. The other way is to pan all vocals left and everything else right but since it all winds up with a single mono out that method don't work in this board. Make sure your next board is true stereo with a left and right main outputs then it will work. Basically, you bought the wrong board for what you want to do. Check out a small Soundcraft board. Should be perfect for your needs.
Hi I live in S.A. & i NEED TO CHANGE SLIDERS FOR MY mixer 16 channel how can I get sliders for how much please ? Alternatively maybe it's better if I buy the whole board, how much it will cost please ? Looking forward to hear your advice please Regards Mthethwa

I never strip this mixer but I would believe they are all separate pieces... why you got to replace the sliders ??

The only reason to change a fader or slider is it fails to work. Aka dead channel or they get dusty and dirty causing noise. Try Deoxit spray first. If that doesn't work you could try Yamaha tech support. From your description I don't think this the the issues. Noise and distortion are 2 different things. I'm guessing you have your gain set to high. In these boards that creates bad distortion. Try lowering your gains see if that solves your issue. You may need a better quality board like Allen and Heath or Soundcraft. Good luck I hope that helps.

Can you show me how to set up a mix to do echo please?
@davidgeorge12943 жыл бұрын
You can set up an echo device to 1 channel say vocals or the entire board then everything will echo. Most likely you want to assign all vocal mics to the same sub then plug the echo into that sub group. If he held the video still u could tell you where it plugs into but I can't see it. It should say effect send and effects return in sub 1. That's were it goes. If it doesn't have that try insert on each channel you want echo on. You will have to rig up the wires to make it work on more than one channel. Not advise able because that method can lead to noise.

Can I use external delay in mg 16xu? & how?
@VaibhavDJSoundServiceDehradun6 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use delay like boss dd6 or 7 via aux out and return
@davidgeorge12943 жыл бұрын
There aux is typically used for monitors but you can do it that way. Your better off using the effects send and return. Then simply turn up the effects level on the channels you want reverb on. Typically just vocal mics us what you want the reverb effect on. It's nice to have sub group assignment so you can set up all mics to one sub and add the reverb to that sub only. Remember this is a very basic board and quite subject to distortion if over driven. You need to run it conservatively or it will sound like crap. This is true for most if not all inexpensive boards. If you can invest in a Soundcraft, Midas, or Allen and Heath board. The board is vital and quality makes a huge difference in your end result. It all depends on what your doing with it. For most basic situations this board will work. However; most quickly out grow it.
