This is why I bought my Yamaha MODX8, the digital sampling of the acoustic piano and plus it is light weight compared to my old Yamaha P-200 digital stage piano, being so heavy.

ffs WHat the modx can do , the montage certainly can do . They are the exact same engines (awm2+fmx) , the montage just has superior DA converters , more polyphony , more controls ( led rings) and an aluminium casing That's why it's more expensive

You dont. Apples and oranges. Nord still has better piano and rhodes samples but that is because thats all what they focus on. Nord has better organs but I mean, one is a stage board the other is an synthesizer.

Jonah Paz sold my Electro 4 and bought the MODX 8. Did not regret my decision one single day. Sounds are a matter of taste, but clavia offers a lot sounds for free on their website. But usability with touch screen, additional inputs, controller, keybed, fm engine, fx like vocoder, reverb types or spiralizer plus general flexibility are most obvious points I preferred at the MODX compared to the Electro. Better grab a Nord stage for a much higher price point.

Nope, but you can DL off Yam website for free if you are a MODX owner - I did this straight after my MODX6 arrived no probs. There are quite a few other DL's you can get from Yam but also users for free. Plus purchase of Montage sound multi sets from web sellers so a good deal out there already available 👍🏼

@@focopedo The action is garbage on the 6 and 7 for any piano playing, its passable for organ/synth ect. I returned my MODX7 because the action was so poor, felt like a lower end PSR, not even as good as the higher end PSR the S7XX and S9XX series.

Very disappointing Yamaha know that we all use our keyboards to control DAW's this keyboard sounds good looks good but 90% of uses use this keyboards to control DAW so we need 8 faders and we need 8 in coders.
