I completely concur. One thing that is somewhat deceptive about the above video is that this guy can really play, especially with sounding like other instruments. Analog synths have something that these rompler synths can never have, truly open sound engine and filters rather than frozen waves that are mathematically limited and simply loop. Analog synths are not limited and literally have infite possibilities of unique waveforms. The converters on these modern things are outrageoulsy detailed.

The USB connection is for the PC, but the MIDI connector will work with anything that has a MIDI connector of its own. Any control keyboard on the market will do, for that matter.

@ovallesfilmcomposer7 yup, original Motif has midi timing problems.. the ES sorted this out. as well as many more things.. ES is the one to have, if you got the £$ then go XS rack :)

This is a nice single sound rack, but if you want to use it for multi skip it and get the Motif ES, the original Motif Rack has horrible midi timing problems.

Motif-Rack is a very good machine. With a good keyboard it makes a good studio gear. Classic Motif (w/keyboard) hasn't MegaVoices, but in Motif-Rack I heard it. Does the Motif Rack have MegaVoice technology?
