It's such an awesome hooligan machine :). Feels great in the corners, I would go for it! (Or the MT-09, but I would first go for the 07 as the 09 is insanely fast) 👍👍

Do you think older models of the MT-07 sound better than the current one? I wanted to get a new one, but from my researches 2017-2018 models have a more refined sound........ I would get a new exhaust with it anyway (Akra or Zard), is it more sensible to buy a new or used one? (What´s keeping me from a new one is sound potential & price, from the old one the fact that I don't know how good the last owner looked after it) :/

In the first few seconds of riding you can hear some audio changes tho.. My guess is that the GoPro alternates between the 2 mics (on top & under) for ideal sound. Maybe I'm wrong, you're the expert now ;)

We get the same spec in australia under the LAMS system. I was watching someone talking about what makes the bike different from the full power version and it seemed to be too easy to remove the restrictions to make it the same as the full power version. One of the items is a simple metal plate restricting the throttle from going fully open and it was just a case of removing it. Do you know if that is the case?

I indeed have that same metal plate, but there are other parts which a Yamaha dealer has to remove and send back to Yamaha when installing the A2 conversion kit. So unfortunately it's not all that simple.. But no worries, this is fast enough for now. Later this year it's MT-09SP time ;)

i find the top speed run took to long did you tune your bike after putting the exhaust i have a 2015 mt 07 with stock exhaust and mine accellerate faster to 180 but maybe its the wind but i did ride mine in hard wind i live in nl to but mine seems faster with stock exhaust i love the sound of yours

I got mine as an option with the bike & told the dealer to remove it :). He did all the 'hard work'. There is a vid on YT somewhere that shows you how to do it for this model! 🤙

The other carbon akra is 'OK' for when you don't have the money for the Titanium variant. IMO it doesn't really sound that good.. For that money you can buy other brands that have a better sound at a lower price! The best changes to my bike are new clutch and brake levers, mirrors, tail tidy, comfort seat and heated grips!

Means that the bikes power is limited to 35kw! (from the regular 55kw). Means that above 100kph it indeed pulls slower than the regular version. Mine can go 180kph max & the regular I think it's 220 or something! It's the license that restricts the power (because at the time I was 21y old!) Hopefully that helps :)
