Very well done Sir...If they are still available in spring of 2021, I'm getting one. I've riding one on a demo day and loved it!

Hey Ken I glad you enjoyed riding it. Very fair review. You mentioned the throttle I had it set in the most sensitive position it’s a bit smoother in setting number 2. Of course the Niken is sort of an experiment. Honda has one very similar in prototype right now called the NeoWing.

Other than having a sense of security, I'm not sure why you'd want all that extra weight, parts, complexity, etc. I agree, seems to be some kind of 'experiment'; maybe Yamaha looking for a niche market, of some kind. Interested. Enjoyed watching you ride. I like your non-judgemental style when commenting on other riders. Nicely done.

It's a bit more than a "sense of security", it's actual security, especially in the wet. The extra weight of it actually adds to the security in that it adds to the tyre friction at the front. The extra parts and complexity - well there's always a trade-off, and the Niken is less heavy/more heavy, less complex/more complex than a whole bunch of other bikes.

I really like that you do a non-sport bike day at your track. There’s nobody around me doing that. It’s not safe, it’s certainly not helpful, when it’s all sport bikes on the road and me, in my 90mph 500lb adv bike.

This was an interesting review. No hype just the facts. This I would have liked to see you try it out a bit harder and then you opinion. Will it save me from Dunning Kruger?

Not sure what you mean by try it harder. I was almost dragging my knee. And no, Dunning Kruger is invincible. :)

@@KenCondon So am I to understand that riding it hard was effortless because it felt from the video fairly gentle. I understand you were respecting another persons property while riding.
