I have always believed that Yamaha make fabulous guitars, and for the money they are incredible. They easily equal the big brands in quality and come more playable out of the box than big brands. One of these days I will buy a 611.

I am impressed! just heard gud things bout this that I did not know. My Fender Powerhouse just seems to lack in tone. and I paid $550 for it years ago. Think this pacifica has much better tone?

I got a Pacifica 611vfm dark red burst. The manual doesn't include setup instructions for the Wilkinson Tremolo nor the Grover locking tuners. If I knew the Grover Tuner model number I could possibly get documentation from Grover.

@@luda_yanez4302 Luda, what surprises me is when I search around, and call techs, no one has an easy solution, or even have really done this before. In 2020 I am the first person who wants to exchange out a P-90??? Thought I would, but I didn't like it. Sounded like the proverbial blanket over amp. Luckily Sweetwater exchanged out the Pacifica 611 for the 612, which has a H-S-S setup. No P-90 anywhere.

I believe the 'V' stands for vibrato and the 'H' stands for hardtail.

Why would anyone choose a hard tail when they offer such a high quality Wilkinson tremelo system for the same price? Why limit the versatility? What a waste!

Hard tails give you far more punch. Tremolos, even Wilkinsons, can be difficult to set up and keep in tune…
