Loved the comment at 2.04. Absolutely true. The G&B P90 in the PAC311H in particular is both high output and beautifully toned. Tone of the humbucker similarly is to my liking, BUT, it's medium output. OK when not split if lacklustre in sheer grunt output for Rock. Fine for blues, jazz, early Classic rock. Split, it's a real letdown with an output of < 4k and mismatch if selected in conjunction with the high output P90. Other than that singular implementation, this guitar is one even higher end players will be love, and in white or natural satin schemes, it looks elegant. Other than the neck and bridge pickup output mismatch, there's just nothing else to criticise about it. I'd buy mine again.

I must completely agree. This guitar has an appeal to players of all levels. I found the PAC311H to be an instant delight in my hands. It has a feel of substantial quality, feeling engineered up to its price point rather than down; if that makes sense. It feels like a PAC212 that had a couple extra hours spent on the build. The string feel is exceptional and the pickups have a sound that is both clean and versatile for students or studio. As with all Pacificas at their price point (in my experience and humble opinion) 5/5 would recommend.

@@LessonsWithCameron Was looking at a 120H now I come across this. Both are good for sure this looks just a little bit better. Looking for a good Humbucker sound with a single coil sound.

@@LessonsWithCameron Figured, but also know they make solid instruments. Be doing so for along time. So I figured this be a good place to start. Bought a cheep guitar that had nothing but issues (bent neck) and stopped me playing.

@@LessonsWithCameron Owning current model 112V, 311H and 612VII model Pacificas, I'd have to agree with this statement in particular "feels like a PAC212 that had a couple extra hours spent on the build". Whilst there's nothing whatsoever shabby about the BQ and finish of the lower price point segment 112V, particularly at its price point, quite distinct from its superior hardware the 311H does feel like that in the hands. It's something one can't quantitatively verbalise, but a qualitative improvement one's senses can perceive and feel.

That looks like a whole lot of guitar. Seems like it may be a bit pricy for an "intermediate" guitar.

Currently at $419USD, that would be pretty early in the intermediate price range competing with guitars costing much more and performing similarly.

Not at all. It's more expensive than the 112V, but the 112V is a truly inexpensive guitar for its capability and quality. The 311H is less than 15% more expensive than the 112V and kicks the arse of other familiar brand name guitars at 2 to 2½ time its price point. And that's before considering that it comes out of the box fitted with custom hardware like Grover locking tuners, Graphtech TUSQ nut, twin GraphTech TUSQ string trees, D'Addario EXL strings, and it's hardtail is string through. Simply a great guitar for everyone from beginner to experienced.
