Yamaha PSR-3000 original demo sounds

Sorry for bad video quality, it's my Logitech C270 webcam :] It doesn't have autofocus, so closer look is blurry.
Yamaha PSR-3000 is direct successor of PSR-2100.

My PSR 3000 purchased in the year 2007 no longer works and after I took it to the service center they said that parts for this keyboard are no longer available in 2020; now I have to sell it in kgs😢

I would imagine today's PSR SX600 (which is two steps below in class) sounds better when recorded. However, the overall feel of quality and the ease of use should be better on the PSR3000. The wave ROM of the 3000 is around 100MB. I reckon the SX600's is at least double.

For some reason my PSR-3000 isn't starting anymore. Is there a way to fix this? It still worked fine some hours before it didn't start anymore.

Yes, you can do one thing - check the power supply if it gives proper output voltage (multimeter required), otherwise without knowledge, skills and equipment you can't do more, I'm afraid. If you were in UK, I'd take a look inside as I repair Yamaha keyboards.

I own a PSR-3000.... have for about 16 years... it does stuff that I can't get it to do! I do not have the patience to learn it! It is WAY over my head. But I just use it for simple performance and such.... so I do not need all the bells and whistles... this keyboard sounds amazing!

Buy locally from second hand. For example - if you are UK-based and live in London area, or at least in the southern part of Mainland, I'd be able to deliver it as I am Yamaha keyboards repairman and trader as well. I've got one PSR-3000 in stock, it just requires few plastic parts to be changed inside (which is very hard as spares are available once or twice per year).

I don't know what you are going to do, sir - but answer is NO all the way. PSR-3000 does have USB port built in, which might be used for connecting appropriate LAN or WLAN card. However "operating system" of PSR allows only connecting to one specific Yamaha website, which has been shut many years ago, so - if available - you were able only to download some free styles, or listen to the internet radio directly on your PSR. But - as said - this functionality has been closed, so any LAN/WAN connection is an empty option now.

Which one is better ? This question will be answered only by you, depending on your needs and taste. PSR9000 is Tyros predecessor, whereas PSR3000 is one level lower keyboard (and Tyros counterpart in mid-high class of arrangers), however it's newer and features newer technology. You need to rate both keyboards, what you'll love more: PSR9000's after touch keybed, 3 voices per right hand, sampler, hard drive, or PSR3000's newer voices (incl. MegaVoices), styles, USB socket, colour LCD. Just see both keyboards how they play and you'll know, there's no universal answer for everyone, I'm afraid.
