I still have the Yamaha PSR-520 from back in the early '90s. It's interesting how this A5000, some 30 years later, has the EXACT same sounds/samples, buttons, dials, and overall nuances as my old 520 has.

Hi, does this keyboard support the same formats as PSR S970? I have developed a USB with my presets that I have used with PSR S970. I have to choose between this and SX900. This is slightly more affordable than SX900. Can I get this instead of SX900 assuming that it uses the same file format such as .sty for styles/rhythms and .vce for voices/tones? Please advise.

Does this keyboard have the Vocal Harmony unit (VH2) in it. I am a singer and use the Backup harmony singer effects. I play USA Country music, so do those sounds come with this keyboard? Is the new improved Pedal Steel Guitar included with this keyboard?

There hasn't been a new Pedal Steel Guitar on a PSR since the Tyros 2, not even on this keyboard.

All right guys I would like to give you some info on this video that we're watching I am Turkish and if you give me this keyboard I can give you a better demonstration on the styles and all the Middle Eastern stuff since I'm Turkish this would be an easier way if I show you what this keyboard can do now looking at some of the comments most of these sounds are good but it wasn't like this I used to own the Yamaha PSR a1000 and I also had a chance to play on the or 700 from Yamaha but those sounds were exactly the same as the ones on the a1000 why did Yamaha put the a1000 sounds on the or 700 when they could have gone with brand new sounds plus the a3000 was the real deal you see Yamaha introduce the a 2000 which had the exact same sound set that the Yamaha PSR or 700 had and of course so of course when I saw the PSR a3000 I said oh my God the sounds are better than what those other three keyboards have and also not to mention the styles on all three aforementioned keyboards are the same Yamaha really really messed it up had the or 700 have ram inside it would have been a huge competing keyboard with the korg PA 80 or korg PA 800 not to mention the PA 600 which also the PA 900 which Yamaha could have easily competed with you see the korg PA 600 QT model had the better sound and had the better styles also you had the PA 500 Turkish edition you had the PA 500 oryantal edition and you hand the PA 500 Persian edition which had better sound than what Yamaha was offering sure you have the PSR a2000 which had 64 megabytes of memory but the sound set that was on that keyboard was just terrible now I think Yamaha has learned their lesson with the PSR a5000 and the PSR a3000 which icing these two keyboards have very good brand new sounds Yamaha just needs more momentum and they'll get the thing right but as someone who plays Turkish music I think this is a keyboard that I am harshly thinking about and comparing this a SX 900 I think the main difference would be that the sx900 has vocal Harmony versus this does not have vocal Harmony and also Bluetooth is included but this keyboard does not have Bluetooth a few more things this keyboard has including legato that the sx900 does not have but what can you do the speakers on the Sx 900 of course are way better and use a different material so yes these are my thoughts

The PSR-A5000 doesn't have this defect, it has the FSB keyboard action. The A3000 had the defect, with the original organ style keyboard.

@@DJIncendration You are not good informed. Look at the Yamaha's music forums also look at my PSR- A5000 video on youtube. Same issue like PSR-SX900. FSB keybed is a defective product. Thousand of custommers are affected.

Funny how Yamaha release middle eastern keyboards and arpeggios are for Western music styles ,I bought A5000 from Yamaha but found it loaded which cheapest Yamaha sound's a round ,sx900 even sound s a more musical ,Yeah you can go to sound expansion site how ever they sound just as bad ,SORRY it is not your fault I am not critical of you but Yamaha's lack of understanding of their targeted end users you will aso find languages offered French and English keyboard designed for middle eastern musicians ,Funny Yamaha very fffffffffunny

It has the RockDrumKit from the SX900 and the ActiveBassFngrMute from the Genos.

It is technically the same as the SX900 only with additional ethnic sounds and styles along with the 1/4 tone scale. People in the Middle East only use it to load their own samples and styles since the original program is considered less than mediocre at best. Most common arrangers used there are Korg PA (MG Edition) PA4x or PA1000. Yamaha is just starting to gain some grounds there
