Your demo of these PSR-e343 voices was superbly done. I compared the sound of a Grand Piano from Yamaha Arius YDP-141 Vs. the sound coming from this PSR-e343, and I found they are awesome and similar. My question: are grand piano voice samplings stored in these instrument the result of what Yamaha called the Dynamic Stereo Sampling from real acoustic piano? or synthesized electronic sound for this PSR-e343?

Bobby (Philip Moiser) I am a happy yamaha user . casio is nowhere near the quality of yamaha nomatter which model . plastic is cheap , sound quality is terrible . they might be low in price but poor in quality .

Where are you supposed to sit when using a 61 key keyboard? Middle C is off to the right, so when you sit at the center you have to move your right hand pretty far across your body to play middle C. If you sit centered at middle C, your body is nowhere near the center of the keyboard. Ack!

They directly-record the keyboard's output to lay over the video because that's professional. Of course they will sound worse because the Built-in Yamaha speakers aren't that good especially in dynamic range but the samples are decent quality.

In this particular video the keyboard is being recorded from its output jack so you are not hearing the sound of the keyboards built in speakers but the sound of the piano sample direct from the source.

Hello Markus, brother please help me. I am a poor guy and cant afford to buy more than $200 Midi-KB, My main intention is to play it as Midi Keyboard with FL Studio as a learning purpose on my cheap desktop computer. Yes there are some Midi specific KB available like Samson Carbon 61 and M-Audio Oxygen 61, price of this Yamaha E343 is much lesser than those Midi specific KB in my country. I just wanna know if I can go with E434 as Midi use ?, we know it supports Midi connection. Would it be inferior in anything than Carbon 61/Oxygen 61. I mean is this good for low latency operation. Or should I wait and save money for those other Midi KB ? Please help, I am dying :(

Sumit Singh Isnt ASIO used for Sound recording? I thought it was used for that. It has nothing to do with MIDI. I am not sure, but thats what I think it is. And about the delay, there is a bit delay if you use FL. But I have seen quicker response times with other softwares. I put a headset on, and play the notes with metronome on. And drag the recorded key patterns to the right place in the piano roll in FL.

I believe Casio Lk series doesn't have touch response on the keys. Lk series (yung umiilaw yung keys pag tutorial) are entry level keboards frm casio, I believe. Better try Yamaha E343 or later models who have touch response. I've tried one E343 in a music shop in Manila and I'm actually planning having that one. /Apir pare,Noypi:-) /

I just bought this keyboard. I had a piano but supprisingly this is better. Its kinda like urnpersonal dj system! I luv it to death all day i wouldnt turn it pff! Buy the adapter onstead pf batteries rhough. Works better. And crank it up all they way and then demo and dance!

maybe it's being acquainted with their more snootier stuff,but Yamaha practically invented that crystalline jangling electric piano sound courtesy of the Iconic DX7 in the 80's. that patch wouldn't pass muster with a Casio owner. believe me it don't. must be marketed for the cheapo midi controller bunch
