Keyboard mechanism in this video looks exactly like mine. I just needed cleaning, and before I've started I was adviced: A: to use water and after cleaning graphite pencil as contact enchancer, and B: acetone. I started with a white spirit, which turned bad and graphite even worse. Finally, acetone made keys work. It took me some time to figure out how to fit rubber back in place properly. For the rest is just important to take care about two screws of double lenght. Thanks for this video!

Yes possible to motherboard issue, you can try some maintenance your keyboard ,that processes can be life back of your mcu board. Clean all the surface & re solder if loose any thing. Re solder the main chip & memory chip with heat gun & check the crystal oscillator . Most of time those processes can be fix those type of problem. If you don't experience that type of work ,than take help from experience technical people. Ok good luck.

Change the potentiometer first (volume controller). Check the filter cap .

I couldn'tr find out the things I wanted to find out when looking for such a video :-( ... if you could focus more on those tiny little but important details .. like HOW EXACTLY do i disconnect those cables inside. I got a Yamaha PSR 280 ... and i wanted to repair the left speaker connection. Both speakers on left side dead. There is a buggy connection -- if i move the cable, the speaker then reaveals to work ... but it switches on and off while moving the cable.. so i wanted to resolder some things ... but i just couldn't find out how those connectors work. how to open them.

Every musical instruments has not enough proper schematic or service manual over the internet.so when you will try to fix them ,you should follow some basic electronics fundamentals. Such as the keyboard has some parts, like power section ,main mcu board (brain of those keyboard ),keyboard matrix keys & some others controller & audio amplifier section. So you try to find what kind of problem you faces. When you open any electronics goods please keep remember what you doing, click some pictures of it .I thing you get some guide to do.if you have any questions please ask without any hesitation.I will try to short out the way.

Those white connectors at the circuit boards - where the belt cables are connected to - i just didn't see how exactly you opened them. How to unlock them? If sb doesn't know how to open them - it is easy to break them. Because it always is important to know where exactly to lift with which tool, otherwise something might break quickly. Sometimes even a special tool is needed. I did find a way to open them later - but without any hint i only would have broken them. Now aftwer removing the belt cables i can access a spot where some resoldering is needed. BTW: It is exactly what i suspected and where i suspected that fault.

Maybe your switch is already shorted. Try to replace it with new one. Most power on switch is mechanical.

I have two questions... 1.this problems are from the beginning when you perches ? 2.or its resent problem. Try to listen the sound with a headphone. If than all the same problem....re solder the Keyes cable ,resister & diods .

Your right side speaker should fail ,you may change the left side speaker to right (just got checking) if your sound not distorted & fine than speaker should change .if sound bad than problem the amplifier section right side problem.may you now get the solution....

Not at all , your volume potentiometer was bad so you can't control volume.replace it , The psr series keyboard always found those type of problem after 1year or less . Some keys are not working because the key pad gets dirty or missing the carbon contract underneath the rubber keys. If you play rough & keep it in dirty place that's the real causes. The power adapter are not issue . I think you might understand.

@@narayaniraj8236 ,ok don't worry. You should clean your keyboard inside with a technician or try your self ,if you have nothing experience that type of work please don't do. You should replace the volume potentiometer, which is very cheep price , And clean the key pad rubber . Moisture is the problem .so if you want to store any electronics item please use them some time & put it dry & clean space.

First check all cable & solder joint (logic board to keys circuits). Than check the carbon layout these keys .if they are dirty ,clean it .hope you will be fixed your problem....best of luck.

Hi, thanks for sharing. I have a DGX-500 that is giving off static sounds through both speakers. Nothing hooked up, just plug it in and you hear the static. It plays, the volume works, but the static is very annoying. The first thing I tried is changing the power supply. That was not the issue. Now I am thinking that maybe the amplifier IC is bad. Not sure how to test that, but have no issues trying to replace it. Would this be the next step I should attempt, or do you have other ideas? It's actually my wife's keyboard, but I'd like to fix it for her. Thanks

Ok , you can use an additional amplifier module circuit ,but you need some basic knowledge first . Find the data sheet of your amplifier ic pin , cut the power of its power pin of this amp ic , remove the audio inputs pins from keyboard mcu board .basically it coneted with low capacitance capacitor . And its output speaker also. Now you should configure the whole things with the new install amp module . I think you get some idea on this matter. Best of luck.

Ok, if you have some basic electronics idea then you can find the problem step by step.basically logic board is not bad easily if you don't have misbehavior with that. First check the logic board supply voltage ,if its drop ? Or heat up any component ? If those happens your logic board is damaged. Check all the power voltages , there are some dc voltages like 5v,9v & 12v .

If you can open it, try to locate if it has a trimmer, trace back the wire from LCD to the main board, the trimmer must be close to those wires.

You have to open it and use blower. Just don't place the blower too close to the board. Just open the back case. No need to unscrew any board (pcb). Of you don't have a blower you can use a hair dryer. If possible don't turn on the heater.

Do some you not even bother LISTENING to your videos. The notes when you are playing are fine. Try if the demo, rhythm is working. If not, if it has a line out try to use external amp. Try clening you volume knob by contact cleaner.
