That is the bike I wanted to buy. But when I put down cost of purchase and then cost of maintaining + registration and insurance every year + fuel I went with a brand new R3 instead. The bike is almost perfect for me and seeing how this year played with finances for lot of us I'd say my choice was right. Hoping to get on to R6 or R1 one day though.

how much are the maintenance costs? I found super cheap r6s but im worried about the upkeep

@@walkerfharris I don't know for other parts of the world, but for my place tires are the biggest difference. I can buy a set of tires for my R3 while for about the same price I can only get a rear tire for R6. Other things include: double the spark plugs, one brake disc and pads set more (R3 has just one disc at front, R6 has two), there is larger quantity of oil needed for R6... and insurance is about double or at some insurance companies almost the triple of what I pay for my R3 If I had bought an R6 (I was looking for 08-10 year bikes) I probably would have a hard time affording to ride it this year since pandemic started.

I just upgraded from a 2020 monster edition r3 to a 2020 raven black r6. World of difference. Much more aggressive riding position but holy shit is it fun.

nah bro, no gear indicator means be aware of what gear your on. On a bike like that you've gotta be in the right gear to take corners safely

Best motorcycle ever! Cannot ride in hot weather at all. It’ll bbq your thighs and ankles but the power is just 💯. Can imagine pushing this to its limits in good weather.

I’ve just got my first bike 2017 r6. I’ve ridden motox about 20years on and off. Absolutely love it as a first bike , but I’m 41 now so got a more sensible head on these days ha ha

nah i personally think the r6 would be easier to start on than the mt07 just cuz the r6 doesnt really have power downlow and the mt07’s throttle is really snatchy

Tis why i never feel the need to get rid of my new r3. I though i needed more power but the more i think about it the dumber it seems to want a 600 for commuting. I never go on highways, so i'll never break 60mph. The r3 can easily hit 100mph no problem. So i just don't get why people want to be that fast. I dropped my R3 already like 5 or 6 times mostly because the weight and my handlebars just caving in. 400lbs is 400lbs, i think anyone starting on a 600 is just not smart lol
