He might think it's a lot, but whatever they're making off of his back is orders of magnitude more. He's probably getting a flat fee, not a percentage of the profits they're making off of his name.

It gets worse for USA Customers… It doesen’t look like the GoldTop(and a couple of other finish options in the RSP tier) will be made available to the US market. Look up the Yamaha USA website vs Yamaha Canada or Yamaha Europe and see for yourself. This is a big blunder on Yamaha’s part

Love the standard. Love the stainless frets and the carbon fibred reinforcement. I think Yamaha should approach their Revstar range like motorcycles that owners can personalise like a range of pick guard colours and materials (coloured alloys), pick-up covers (coloured allows) and hardware options (black, chrome, brushed and anodized metals). Great guitars but I think 'Revere' would be better. More chance of them getting the colloquial name of 'The Rev/A Rev' or 'Yamaha Rev'.

the Professional RSP20X is a beauty ... too bad it doesn't have a neck binding ..... and I would have liked the back of the guitar to come in BLACK (no, I am not Bruce Wayne). Very beautiful instruments, well made and so much versatile. Even the Standard RSS20 is awesome.

Live they do have one .. Tom's brother plays keys for them and often live have a female backing singer called Tay who is incredible and really fits perfectly
