Hey Guys, As you have probably noticed already i have updated the channel name and logo. The channel is no longer Really Random Channel it is now RRC Restoration. Just incase you were wondering why the water marks in the video still say Really Random Channel. Enjoy.

Great video; Like a couple of other viewers it also takes me back to my teens - My neighbour had the slightly larger RS125 version and I rode a SS50 5 speed at the time (40 plus bikes later I ride a ZZR1200 in England and Versys 650 out here in Asia). He taught me how to change the engine oil and even piston rings.... been working on my bikes ever since. Keep the videos coming!!

One of these was my 1st ever bike, at 16 I couldn’t afford a moped, then after turning 17 I bought it off of and older mate who rode this when all the other lads were limited to the old 50cc FS1Es, so I was really happy to get it. After a couple of years I upgraded And passed it down to my younger brother for his 1st bike when he turned 17.

Like many who must have watched this film, I “had one of these back in the day” (in 1981 to 1983, or 17 to 19 years old). It was very clean, tidy and original, yet in all the 9,000 miles I did on it, I never solved a misfire, which kept it under 40-45mph! 🙄 Never managed to fix that!! Still riding, nearly 40 years later, but 1200 Triumphs these days...

@@RRCRestoration Thanks, and yes there is - you can go many places where bigger bikes cannot., mainly because they're too heavy. A little, nimble two stroke can go almost everywhere without getting stuck in the mud. 😊

That is a good looking bike. I used to have a 1976 Yamaha RD400. Your bike looks very similar. Cycle World magazine said the RD400 was the most wheelie prone bike they ever tested. I can confirm it constantly liked to wheelie when accelerating away from stop signs! Very fun. I enjoyed your video very much. Your camera work was quiet good, no need for you to apologize. It takes a lot of work to take all those camera angle shots and then edit the video. Good job.

Nice looking and well maintained!! Does this bike require pre-mix or is there a tank and pump to mix in the 2 stroke oil? 1979 I assume a tank. Look forward to the next video!!
@RRCRestoration5 жыл бұрын
Thank you :) It does have the 2 stroke tank but i choose to run it on pre-mix as then i know for a fact its getting the right amount of lubrication, i have heard lots of horror stories of oil pumps going wrong and running lean then seizing up.

Indeed..it's the kind of failure that is very unforgiving in a 2 stroke!

Well done for having the self discipline to clean that little Yammy after each ride. The care you lavish on your machines shows itself in their immaculate condition. My poor old bikes were 'gunked' then cleaned down once every three years, whether they needed it or not!
