I drove mine to Sturgis in 84 for the break in miles. When I got to Rapid City and stopped at the first light, a Harley pulled up next to me and asked if this thing could go fast enough to drive it on the highway. I drove there with a quart of 2 stroke oil inside my leather jacket, so by the time I got there I needed another jug. I got directions to where the Yamaha dealer was, but what he neglected to tell me was that it was a HARLEY/Yamaha dealership. Boy did I get looks pulling up there. Everything was Black and Harley and I was Yellow.

It's too bad your bike would literally smoke any stock Harley from that year. For a whole lot less then even there cheapest sportster. The best they could muster is 14sec back then . Wile the mighty RZ with the same hp or less was getting the 1/4 mile done in 12sec. That's not a joke . So they can keep thinking it's still 1941 and Pearl harbor was just last week . So why buy that Jap ike .

Biker cops couldn't catch you in heavy traffic !A one hour drive in traffic in car from work took only 20 min! The fanless radiator when in long red light or jammed in traffic never go beyond boiling point compared to a fanned radiator Ninja who began to smoke on the same path in downtown main street! @itsWOAR I didn't say stick trim... I said I had this motor (rz350) in a banshee... which isn't stock because the shee never came with power valves ever from 87 to 12. The top speed wasn't the attraction. It was the ability to scratch and spark the footrest onto the tar and overtake much bigger bikes like even the Z900 in the curves.
