I have one of these bikes, I bought a discounted left over 2017. It's the best scrambler on the market by far, the thing is scramblers are suppose to suck a little. If you want a fast, do everything, nice bike you buy a adventure bike not a scrambler, if you want a unique cruiser that can go down a dirt road you buy a scrambler.
@Darkvisor3 жыл бұрын
Greetings. The definition of a scrambler seems to vary depending on who you ask or where you read. In my book this isn't a scrambler really. I'm not going to talk more about that, everyone thinks differently. I have nothing against this bike and I'm happy to hear that you have one and that you enjoy it. Feel free to check out my channel further, I have loads of other test rides with other scramblers and adventure bikes, cruiser, sport, minibikes etc... =) Thanks for watching and have an awesome day! =)

There are sports bikes there, nakeds and whole buch of other machines. You ever rode a dirt bike ? This thing looks like a wishful copy of a HD Sportster with a different bar, called a scrambler;) "Unique cruiser that can go down a dirt road" you never been down a dirt road on a chopper-like bike weighing 250 kg - or else you ride it every so often pulling off the main road to get to you yard. Lamest stuff I've head...what fucking pleasue is it to ride a dirt road o a bulky copy of HD Sportster that's totally retarded on dirt?;) this is a road cruiser all it is...

@@block672008 I used to race dirt bikes and own a dr650 for riding serious off road adventures. There's a lot of dirt roads in my area I cant avoid so I bought a cruiser I dont mind getting dirty for local rides, I dont need a good off road bike, anything with wheels can go where I take the scr950.

@@block672008 I've had and raced a bunch of dirt bikes. You missed my point, the bike sucks off road but it's fine for the smooth dirt roads I cant avoid. I have a different bike a dr650 for off road adventure stuff.

I got to test ride one last year A 2017 which was the only year they sold this in the USA. I'd agree on two things. The air filters are way to far out and get in the way of hugging the tank and it felt heavy. I also hated the gauge setup. I should have bought it though at the 5,000 USD price the dealer had it listed for. I think I'd get used to it after a while. I have a FJR1300 that took a while to get used to but now I love it.

Oh man, how I wanted to like this bike when it was first announced.. But so many problems with this one even before I've ridden it - like belt driven scrambler?!? Surely this can't be a good idea.. And that gap between the tank and triple-clamp would constantly drive me bananas. Unless that round black dash with a small square whole would drive me mad before... And don't be hating on the learners for not waving, trust me, they usually have all their attention on not crashing the bike :D Especially while on a turn.. I mean, I know I was :P
@Darkvisor3 жыл бұрын
This isn't a scrambler... It's a Yamaha Bolt with another frame! =P Nah, No hate... Just an observation from myself. Everytime I see a learner on the road, I always wave to see if they wave back. I think maybe 1-2 has... But they were probably older and knows about the whole riding culture before. I think many new riders just doesn't know about the whole waving thing. =) Thanks for watching and commenting electro! =)

Love the bike but id does have a couple downers one in my opinion is footpeg position. It gets in the way of property walking the bike also you get no grip from anything except holding onto the bars and thats a no no when off road! Torque is great mid range awesome but short on top end! 5th gear to short for my taste, one major factor for me also specially if you're doing occasional offload is the rear caliper location, the line and caliper are exposed and literally 3 inches from the ground 😳 hit a rock 🪨 or a log riding and by brake line and posibly damage caliper! Last but never least, fuel consumption and range capacity! Drinks as much as my harley but range is like 100 miles top with intake and exhaust. Over all fun town bike and a good bike for your occasional light trails but sucks on all terrain
