How genuine that the drummer confesses he still takes classes. What an authentic musician, no show-off!!

It's good to see. Neil Peart started taking lessons even though people had been calling him the world's best drummer for years. Many famous opera singers take lessons long into their careers.

That's Derrick! He IS one of the nicest and humble human beings around. I've met him several times and actually he got me into the backstage Areas to meet the Maestro himself, Jason. I love this Band to bits. But to be honest, the old stuff is really my time and joy of them, that Acid Jazz Funk Pop was just the shit for me! I hope their next Album will be more of that style, I reaally hope so. #Jamiroquai4Ever ❤🍀🙏🏼☀👏🏼

This is exactly the type of sound Jamiroquai needs to get back to! Otherwise I'd love an album with instrumentals like these from these three guys! Good music needs to be spontaneous and heartfelt, and this goes lost if it's overdone when you work on the same songs for months and months... And that's I guess why I really liked these three songs!

Why did they walk away from this jam-sound…. It’s crazy. That had it all.
@prodbydrdxo6 ай бұрын
@@mogglie im pretty sure jay kay liked disco and electronic music more than this type of music, and jamiroquai is "jay's band". Otherwise, many other bands have this sound, you only have to search. I reccomend searching on acid jazz records catalogue

Zender turned into an absolute weirdo. Or maybe he always was and we didn’t know? Anyway, Jamiroquai has always been experimental. Saying only one person contributed to the sound is ignorant. Paul is easily the best bassist from a technical standpoint.

3:47 - 3:48 : Magic! Of course it’s the chord that dictates where the song goes here, but it’s so brilliant where Matt let’s the solo go “outside” that and surprise us. I forget the chords and only hear the solo until the chord at about 3:47. I love this! And I really like drummers that appreciate their hihat! Another good sign is bassplayers that use another ”type” of bass than the one you thought were the “right” for the style. I would have give a lot to see this live. In that room, In a nice cosy chair! (Perhaps you need to start listing a bit before that timestamps, but who doesn’t anyway. :) ) (By the way, If you find my grammar a bit crazy: I’m still learning.)
