this channel is a gold mine !! bought a sr125 2001 on july 11th and blew it the same day, bought a replacement and its went into gear but the clutch done nothing ..... i think i know what to do now !!

Wahey! Going in the right direction. When you were referring to an improvised clutch lock tool, I assumed the answer would be ugga and duggas.. Wasn't disappointed! 😅 When's the maiden voyage?

I think the workshop manual was being a little dramatic calling for the lock tool to oppose a 9nm bolt! I expect its more use removing the basket. As soon as the multi-day thunderstorm passes I will be taking tentative steps out within walking distance...

Hi - what was actually wrong with the clutch, slipping when under power? That is what is happening to my SR125

The clutch was not properly adjusted using the internal adjuster (on the front of the clutch basket) is my best guess, although in my case it's possible the wrong oil (car stuff with friction modifiers) was used previously
