ck 73, why they not have made it? It fits great on the back seat of the car.

the usual 128 polyphony, but per specs this one has 363 voices, the modx over 2000.. one thing I tired on the Roland vr09 was lack of diversity in sounds, but it only had around 200, but I think it would have been nice to have an EQ global setting to beef up many of the modx sounds, especially the pianos..

How is the quality of the tone compared to the piano tone alone? I hate the sound of Mx88 and I love the sound of modx8 How does it compare to these two models

I really do wish the keyed wasn't the same old GHS Keybed they've been using on their low budget keyboards

If cost was not the issue would you buy a YC 61 or a CK61 my originally wanted to buy a Nord electro 6D. Sine I have a Yamaha cvp307, DGX300 and a Yamaha V50 I like the Yamaha line I'm looking for a organ simulator with slide bars and rotary effects. I also looked at the Roland VR09B I do not have a keyboard music store close that have these models the nearest is over 100 miles away. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

If cost truly isn't an issue then the YC is still the flagship in this stage piano range from Yamaha. But it is amazing that the CK (at pretty much half the price and almost a quarter of something in red???) can offer so much. The YC offers that 73 note option too.... but that might not suit a piano player. The 88 note version's wooden feel keys are also lovely on the YC. Aha. Just seen you were looking at the 61 versions. Well the YC here is also sporting a "waterfall" type keybed with rounded, Hammond style, keys. Great for gliss work etc. Both a great keyboards that appear top value when you look elsewhere in the market place. And a fair bit lighter than my Bechstein, Rhodes, DX7 and C3. 😂

@@lukejuby does the YC73 have waterfall keys too?
@lukejuby Жыл бұрын
No. YC73 has (I think) the same action as the Montage 8. Heavier action. Still a nice light package.

I was seriously considering buying a YC73. I would’ve preferred the 88 key but I wanted to keep the weight to 30lbs. With the new firmware update, the YC got an amazing Leslie simulation, excellent electric and acoustic pianos. Does the CK have the same organs, Leslie sim, acoustic, and electric pianos that the YC61/73/88 has. If they are all the same sound engines then why is it half the price of the YC series? I guess what I’m asking does the CK give you everything the YC series does? What are the differences between the CK and YC series?
@lukejuby Жыл бұрын
The CK gives you a lot of what the YC does but no, they have their differences. The organs on the CK are AMW2 based. So they're samples, whereas the big YC is VCM (virtual circuitry modelling). CK is what they call organ flutes. It's more Reface YC (little YC). The pianos and electric pianos also have many similarities. CFX, U1, S700, RD73 etc, however the DX sounds in the big YC are true FM (CP is sample based like here). If you like your cars think of the YC as your BMW M5. The daddy. The CK is a lovely 535d. Totally capable in every way. Nearly everything anyone should ever want or need... but it's not the M5. But then the M5 costs a fair few pennies more. But if you don't like your cars this analogy will make no sense. Ha.

@@lukejuby Thanks. Your comparison was very helpful. So far, I have not seen anyone outline the differences between the YC and CK series the way you just did.
