I have to wonder if it would be a good idea to shut that fuel valve off and then start the bike prior to starting this removal of that hose that may reduce the amount of fuels spillage.

@@2004VStarCruiser I've used the process in the automotive industry for years. Figured it may help. Maybe just a little run not to run the pump empty but I'd say a minute or so would help.
