I am hesitant to add because T9gt is already 50llbs heavier that it's naked sibling with same frame and motor. To just keep adding more and more weight flies against the reason I went to the more agile T9gt to begin with...I imagine some ad these simply to have a nice place to mount auxillary lights idk ....lol but certain brands of crash bars so price people are adding protection FOR the crash bars! Weight insult to injury...another option is just carrying more insurance...I have $500 deductible BTW there is a much cheaper and lighter option which is the frame sliders set that juts out further than motor and fairing panel...I would love to hear from owners that used these and dropped their bike to know how well they saved anything?? The same frame sliders fit both the MT09 and Tracer 9 description is "CNC Frame Sliders Crash Protector for Yamaha MT-09 Tracer 9 2021-2022 MT09 " About $35 US there is also an abrieviated cast set of guards that are more like $90 look really sleek maybe quite lighter than the tubular steel ones like SW Motech but I can't find a review....one downside for some would be if you can't mount auxillary lighting
@venax22 жыл бұрын
I think this crash bars people (like I) buy for better feeling, that bike is protected "just in case of fall". I am happy I do not know how it works (bike did not fall to me). I like design of them and it time I bought, there were no other (except OEM) on market. I use them also for fitting my GoPro on bike, but this is extra purpose :-).

To prevent the engine to move down, you should use a car-jack to move slightly the engine up
@motoontheweekend2 жыл бұрын
If the engine moves, would the only issue be that the bolt holes may not be aligned? Or would it drop fully…
@armando39652 жыл бұрын
It probably would give me more confidence if both bars were joined each other in the center/front sure there was a way to avoid interfere with the front tire

Nice Video I still have to wait for my new Tracer .....will be around March 2023 It will be my bike to go to work in the busy Netherlands. I like to add the crash bars from SW like you did....and maybe use the bars to mount extra light. I was wondering: can you remove side panels while the crash bars are still mounted? Or do you have to remove them?......which will be annoying of course
@venax22 жыл бұрын
Hi Emiel, I wish you a lot of fun with your coming Tracer soon! ITo your question, I am not able to answer, because I never put side panels out yet, so sorry, I dont know. Take care, V.

Hi! I'm having a terrible time trying to remove the bolt at min 3.53 of your tutorial. It should be removed with a normal 8mm hex socket, no? Well, it just doesn't loose.... Did you have any issues?
@venax2 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I assume it is long bolt at 3:56. Yes I think it was normal 8mm hex (please check with manual to be 1000% sure :-)) Due to long socket, there was high torque needed to "release" it. But I remebmber I had to use a bit more "power", but as you see I did it.

I think they are not 100% simetrical from some ever eason. I saw it on other bikes as well. I believe parts are OK, but not nicely simetrical.

Odkud jsi? Já od Olomouce.
