The front tire is not in the balans. Trust me , I had the same problem when I was going 60-65 km/h .

I've had this issue before but I think it was due to having a massive 47L top box at the back
@cruisingthethaiway68813 жыл бұрын
I've got 24,000 km in one year, 3 sets of different tires. 50L top case on at all times, 22L panniers on trips. Running up to 210kph. Never had a single shake issue. I did notice a improvement in tire wear after upgrading to Ohlins suspension, and a huge improvement in handling and smiles per mile
@frednem72906 жыл бұрын
That handlebar shake coasting down from 48 to 40 mph (80 to 66 kph) is very typical of most bikes and is a function of the wheelbase dimension. Typically, your front tire is wearing in combination with fork head bearings that are on the loose side. Snug up the fork head bearings and that will cure it. You'll know if you've over-tightened them because the entire bike will rock back and forth around 10 mph (18kph). Or, read the shop manual on the correct torque.

@MrDaveH44 жыл бұрын
Have the same issue with my FZ6 S2 with the Yamaha 48L top case on, rarely use now unless i have to, i think it is because it is so high up and back of the centre of gravity it cannot be avoided. HVMP extra heavy bar end weights improved it but didn't fix it. It is fine at slow speeds, but soon as i hit 30-35 it starts and gets worse in a cross wind. A tail pack on the pillion seat totally avoids it, but does defeat the convenience of fixed cases. Does it happen with rigid panniers? Tracer is going to be my next bike so doing a bit of research.

I get EXACTLY the same on mine. 2019, stock tyres, get up to 50mph, let go of the bars, they buck like a fkin mule at around 43-44mph in every gear when decelerating... In either top box on or not config! I think new tyres? None of the other "cures" make any fkin sense! Hmu with your solution please!

Glad you identified the cause of the wobble. What has caused the uneven wear?
@SkyRider3657 жыл бұрын
Len Scapoff I'm not sure the cause of the uneven wear. They couldn't explain how but knew it was causing the shaking. Now it's running very smooth at different speeds. I did just under 9000 miles with the front tyre so not sure if it's normal.

Bro in my fzs v3 if I go to 80km/hr then I take a hand from the handle bar then then front wheel slightly wobbling it's normal or any problem
@GrumpyGarry1217 жыл бұрын
Steering head bearings? New front tyre not fitted symmetrical ? I would start by checking bearings. Sit on bike and grip front brake and rock the bike back and forth see if there's any play. If no play take bike or front wheel to a motorbike tyre fitter and explain the problem, he'll check the wheel and tyre for fit and balance.

100% geometry. Damn near all of them do it. There are things you can do to mitigate the problem, like installing a steering damper/stabilizer, and tweaking the suspension, slipping forks up through the triple clamps to lower the front end a bit, etc, but none of that addresses the actual problem itself, it's just bandaids to help mitigate it.

Then i change to tapered steering bearings on my own ,as i only hade the original bearings replaced on warranty, and the shake and wobbling is totally gone.. the original bearings are not tight enough.. on old bikes like FJ 11 & 1200 it was original with tapered bearings and no woble or tank slapper.. i even had a brand new FJR1300 that had tank slapper and got the head bearings changed to tapered and it was lovely after.. just my tip if all other is tried..
