My last ride on Islay ... Back to the mainland.

Mijn reactie is vreemd genoeg niet geplaatst-verdwenen. However, mooie totaal reportage van Islay. Dat Yamaha in de UK een gebrekkige dealerketen heeft is absurd. Hopelijk beter weet tijdens de "wachtdagen". Enjoy 🍀👍

Ik krijg altijd een bericht als er een reactie geplaatst wordt, die heb ik niet eerder ontvangen, dus wat er gebeurt is, weet ik ook niet ... Er is in de UK best een uitgebreid dealernetwerk, maar degene ik bezocht heb, die hebben geen onderdelen voor een Tricity op voorraad. Dat zal de wet van de aantallen zijn, want ik ben nog geen andere Tricity tegen gekomen. Wat ik dan wel verbazend vind, is dat Yamaha UK sommige onderdelen ook niet op voorraad heeft. Zeker geldt dat voor onderdelen die voor regulier onderhoud noodzakelijk zijn. Gisteren heb ik een minuut of 10 de zon gezien, dus we gaan de goede kant op met het weer :)

@@pruttelpost4445 Sadly trikes are not a popular choice in the UK even though some can be driven on a car licence only. The main reasons being the cost to insure & in London the governing body only allows the Piaggio MP3 350 yourban into the city limits due to wheelbase and even then a certification is required. The Tricity 300 has to pay congestion charge daily.

@@travelwithCo11n It is noticeable that tricycles are not that popular. I don't see them riding and they are hardly in the showroom at the dealers I have visited. This does mean I have to drive a little carefully to keep the belt intact, but I'm not giving up on finding one just yet!

Aansluitend op de eerste reactie zou je veronderstellen dat Islay met de vele whisky stokerijen enkel een fiscaal wingewest is. Broodnodig onderhoud ho maar. De reportages van Islay mogen zich laten zien; m'n complimenten. Een blunder van Yamaha dat ze geen goed voorzien dealer netwerk heeft..... mijn eerste kennismaking met de Tricity was van een Engels YTkanaal. Het werd vooral voorgesteld als HET alternatief voor forenzen. Yamaha is ook een grote naam op het maritieme vlak.... een tekortschietend dealerketen zou definitief funest zijn. Hopelijk heeft u goed weer de komende dagen. Enjoy 🍀👍

What parts do you need for the trike? I couldn't make out what you said.

For service maintenance the most important part is a new drive belt, besides an oil change, new spark plug and other parts for a 20k km service. The drive belt is hard to get.

@@pruttelpost4445 Seems quite a short mileage between services. Is the oil used a special mix, like my ford focus car?

The service interval is 6000 miles. Yamaha recommends the use of Yamalube oil, but you can use any 10W-40 oil. You are supposed to change the oil when it is indicated on the dash.
