If it wasn't for this video, I'd be out there drilling holes now. Thank you for sharing your experience and saving me the trouble. Great work on the plugs thats quite some good thinking. Have a good one!

Dude thanks for experiencing it for of us all! I was considering to do that mod but i was not sure about the sound quality. You made it crystal clear when you said rumbles were dirt bike alike:)

Thanks for posting. I was just about to drill some holes in mine as well. Probably would be wiser to wait and just purchase a different exhaust.

Probably a good idea. 👍🏼😁

Good job for plugging those holes back up! Like you, I really wasn't a fan of that, even though I did do it... Bike sounded like it had a blocked nose the whole time. Rather than plugging the holes, I found an obnoxiously loud exhaust for a few 100 dollars from AliExpress and put that on. While suffering with that super loud exhaust, I saved up and now have a full Akrapovic system on it. Sounds so good and goes so well...

Thanks! Yours was one of the first videos I watched when considering the mod. One day I’ll get a 2Brothers S1R black, but until then I have that stealthy stock sound!

I went with the 230mm black widow exhaust but what I didn't know was I had to get the bike remapped! £300 exhaust £50 K&N filter £157 remap! But it runs smooth sounds like I'm the Boss.
@heybuck65883 жыл бұрын
The price we pay to be the boss! I bet it’s awesome. Well done.

I am just off the phone with Blackwidow and they said their 300mm exhaust is plug and play. No remap needed, will not flag up Engine management light. ReMap is £300+ in Northern ireland. I will be returning the exhaust if it causes the management light to come on. Install in 2 days time.....
@stevekirk6399 Жыл бұрын
@@nareemhart8710 what the remap does is make the bike run smoother at slow speeds. when you let off on the throttle and then power up again it makes the bike judder because it cuts off the petrol then puts it back in, in one go so it judders. wiz performance does the map £150 it is well worth it. I did a video on my YT of the exhaust. also get the front springs changed £100 that make it perform better in the turns.
@nareemhart8710 Жыл бұрын
@@stevekirk6399 I haven't fitted it because of the snow, but if its lumoy at low speed ill bite the bullet and get it flashed. Love the fly by video!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I made my first video briefly discussing the topic: Full Exhaust System. I am almost 100% positiv that you will lose Power and Torque if you go the legal route. I have the 2020 XSR700 also a bit modded but all in GERMAN. greets from Berlin
@heybuck65883 жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by. I wish my German were better (haha) but loved looking at your build. All black with the silver rims looks GREAT. Well done.

nice video. I was tempted to do the same. I will live with stock for now. I like the Hindle exhausts. right now I am think of redoing seat with gel pad, undecided as I have Solo seat too
@heybuck65883 жыл бұрын
Ya, there are other ways to mod a stock exhaust that sound better but are way more involved. I’m holding out for something good! 👍🏼 Good luck with the seat.

I noticed when you took it for a test ride you didn't put the heatshield back on that might have produced a different sound.
@heybuck65883 жыл бұрын
Good catch. I did actually put it on and ride for a month before deciding to change it.

Have you tried playing around with the sound by removing a couple bungs at a time at all? Might find a sound you are happy with?!?

Hi there... this might sound like a weird question, but how tall are you ? I'm 5' 7" and trying to figure out if I could flat foot an XSR.
@heybuck6588 Жыл бұрын
I am also 5’7”. I could flat foot except foot pegs are in the way. But I definitely feel stable on it, both feet on the ground enough to control the weight easily.

maybe you should of drilled one hole ,put the cover back tried it ,just thinking out load but if one hole is just as loud people would,nt be drilling six would they ?
