The only thing that's stopping me is the fact that I'm considering making my XSR700 into a single seater (shortening the frame too), and maaayyyybbbeee installing one of those mudguard wheel number plate holders.

Finally installed the same fender eliminator. So happy with it! :) I did move the indicators to the other spot compared to yours though.. Overall, it was an easy installation. Thanks for the recommendation.

Old fender was sealing battery and cables from dust mud and water splashed from rear wheel. Wisualy much nicer

Nice work. After fitting this tail tidy, do you have any issues with water spray back from the rear wheel in the rain?

how does the tail tidy prevent splashes getting in to the internal battery? is the undertray that comes with it enough to do thr job?

Just got my hands on a second hand xsr 700. It had the side luggage rack and a sidebag from Yamaha mounted. Do you know if this tail tidy will work with the rack and bag? Love your exhaust btw, but seems too expensive. Was it hard to get the db killer out?

Arve Gundersen hiya, thanks for the comment. Yes you can have the sidebag and rack fitted with this tail tidy. You see, the tail tidy has two provisional fitting holes, one lets you have the rack with blinkers fitter right back or the other way. Very simple and it comes with the instructions. Re the exhaust, the dealer took the db killer out for me and he did say it was pretty easy, hence he didnt charge anything extra.

Have you tried putting your toolbag between the light and the wheel? If you're going to put it at the front, I reckon that would look ace. Nice bike though! I'm joining the xsr700 club very soon :D

mattballam Hi, yes I have tried putting the bag under the headlight and it does look nice. Makes it look even more muscular. Go for the XSR700 pal and you would not look back. Good luck.

Hi! I’m getting my xsr in a month. Do you know if there is the same distance between the 2 turn signals before and after? Evotech couldn’t answer and here in France this distance has to be the same... Thank you for the great video btw. I can’t wait to ride this bike! :)

At 8:00 why do the bolt heads not match? You use a different Allen key for each of the two bolts

Nice bike. Looking at getting that akrapovic exhaust you have there but I can't seem to find where to buy it. My dealship said it's only for the 900. Where did you get yours?

GoWILD Hi, i got mine from Woking Yamaha. I had to call 7 dealers to get the right answer. Just ask your local dealer to call Yamaha head office and get the part number. They do it for xsr700..

Slinging Lead absolutely. People like me who aren’t handy enough might just give up on the idea of modding the bike hence not even bother buying it. Totally transformed the look.

@@christopher2327 the xsr700 original tail doesnt look that bad. there are far more ugly motorcycle tails out there. people only seemed prejudiced even before getting an xsr700 since everyone is just replacing them.

Evotech quality is really bad. My tail cracked already several times and I lost the number plate 2 times. It is not strong enough to hold the weight and vibrations. A waste of money

D J my number plate does come off from one side however no problem with the tail though. Yes the quality is defo not at par as per oems.
