Wow! coole Yamaha!

Quick question hoping someone can answer I just bought a 1980 xt250 didnt come with battery, all light light up and turn signals when running. Stupid question do I need a battery? and if yes why and will it keep charging as I run motorcycle? sorry im a rookie with motorcyles!

Thank you for your comment. It seems like your bike has an batterie eliminator, works with magnetism. Its a kind of transistor, that uses the energy from the running engine to fuel the electricity. But theres only power when running. Seems healthy to me
