The Monster Energy® Yamaha Star Racing rider took the win in Moto 1 with a thrilling last lap battle, which was followed up with a strong second place ride in Moto 2. With this third consecutive overall for the season, Deegan has a commanding 23-point lead in the 250MX championship and solidly holds the red plate heading into High Point! Premier-class rider Justin Cooper also impressed at Thunder Valley, pulling holeshots in both motos on his way to securing his first 450MX podium of the season with strong 3-3 moto finishes.

Seems maybe that's some of his maturity showing. Of course if it doesn't feel right there's going to be frustration but maybe in that moment if he can take a breath and use it to articulate what it feels like it's doing differently rather than letting his frustration overcome the moment it will help him immensely. Rarely does anything in life work as expected out of the gate so if he can articulate what he feels they can adapt and overcome.

Love seeing Romano finally staying healthy. Always rooted for him and watched his races at Loretta’s and mini Os in amateurs and hated seeing him have some bad luck his first couple seasons. Deegan often says at some point you just have to adapted to the bike and stop changing stuff every week. He's not very picky

@@psyched91 id say a lot of it is deegs has the pressure on him to win now regardless of the bike, so he’s just gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable, and just sends it, where the other guys just aren’t comfortable doing that, and theres no real like championship pressure on them, so they don’t really have to ride outside there comfort zone. If they don’t like something they’ll just take what they can get. I could be way off but it seems like that might be whats going on

J. Coop is incredibly fast but his biggest issue is not being able to sustain that speed for the entire moto. I knew he would give the leads away due to how long the races are . If those moto's were shorter he would win a ton of them.
