Could you download other sounds in the USB like for example flute and play with that sound on the piano?

The sounds are pre-set and aren't changed using USB or internal memory. However, if you connect a Mac, iPad or Windows PC to the YDP-143 using the USB-To-Host connection, you can use the piano to 'play' sounds within apps and DAWs (you might need or want to connect the computer or iPad to separate speakers).

We love the DX7 too! But it didn't have weighted keys or sound entirely convincing as an acoustic piano 😉. Hi there, The YDP-143 has an internal MIDI data recorder. To record a performance as an audio file, you'll need to use the YDP-143's headphone socket connected to a recording device (such as a Mac, Windows PC or iPad with appropriate audio interface and running appropriate software or apps).
