This is music indeed at its unhurried sublimest! I never before realised that the raag Iman took its birth to be played on the rudra - veena by Zia Mohiuddin Dagar. All other Imans heard before this simply fade into non-existence.

Can shuddha Madhyam be present in Yaman?

shuddha yes, but not teevra

Technically, no, as far I know Yaman should have only teevra ma. Yaman Kalyan, however, adds shuddha ma so has both swaras.. I don’t know why the other responder said the opposite, unless the definition of the raga differs within dhrupad, a situation which is not typical, but not unknown either. Anyone else know?
