Hell the thing abuot this is that we HAVE seen what mid table teams do in the LPL/LCK when the top table runs it down. We've SEEN the Fakerless T1 team and even the CURRENT T1 team, as well as the Damwon team where Ghost/Beryl were inting and Ghost got subbed out and they moved Showmaker to ADC. We've SEEN those teams get super punished by mid table teams before. Mid table teams turned Poby into a fucking MEME, T1 played so bad.

Dom is so right about G2 death balling out of desperation and it just being an unbeatable strategy in LEC. Teams like FNC get a gold lead and then they reach the stage where they have to close the game out and they just beat themselves by fighting without back up, panic rotating to fights instead of ever cross mapping, and gifting objectives. It’s exactly what he says, any team with semi decent macro regardless of how poorly they play mechanically will just turtle up and watch fnatic beat themselves.

I hope everyone in Fnatic, everyone on G2 and everyon e on the LEC broadcast/organisational team watches this. I've been watching league since season 3/4 and ive always found that EU LCS or LEC was by far the most entertaining region to watch both in terms of production and in terms of rivalries, stories and their potential to at least do some damage internationally. This is the first time since then that I haven't watched a single game live for the entire split and I don't see any reason to watch the season finals either. The broadcast is mediocre at best in terms of the presentation and the things outside of the games and bad in terms if technical quality. There isn't even an attempt to build up storylines that haven't been agreed upon before the season even started, you have casters and analysts who are afraid to say anything negative about any team with a big enough fandom, none of the fun skits we had around stuff like G2 signing Rekkles, the rap battles etc. Then you have teams that clearly don't care at all about doing well or building competetive rosters while players who are ambitious but aren't on a starting roster have no way of getting into the league because there is no relegation and zero punishment for the teams like GiantX. Even at the 'top' of the league there is nothing to get hyped about because Fnatic are a completely known quantity (who cares if they have Jun or Trymbi), G2 are or at least CAN be good but they have exactly zero competition as long as they don't literally gift their opponents the win (and even then they might win) so no reason at all to watch them outside of an international tournament and lastly you have BDS who are basically just a team of mediocre players with personalities that are either nonexistent or the most unlikable in the league with a solid coaching staff who win by catching throws so they have no player who will be able to actually contest asians like Caps, Humanoid, Razork, Carzzy, etc and because Asian teams don't throw the way other lec teams do they will never look good against them.

@@wsoulless Honestly I'll be pleasantly surprised if they can make it out of swiss and into the meaningful matches. Like I'm a G2 fan as well and I can say that series was egregious. There should not have been any doubt of a FNC 3-0 with how stark the leads were against them, and at this point I wouldn't be surprised if wild card regions dunk their nuts on G2's faces.
