i know i am 3 years late, but I adore Yamato so much, every time I watch him my mouth hangs open, and i´m locally known as one of the best technical dj´s, and even I watch Yamato in awe. But the truth is, you couldn´t dance to this set in a club. It´s a very very impressive show of skill, but in a real club situation, this set would not work. Look at James Hype and how much hate he gets for overdoing his transitions, and James Hype is very light compared to Yamato. The sad truth is, that in a real club situtation, we have to mostly let the songs play as they were written without interfering too much. This is why many say: "oh look at David Guetta and Martin Garrix, they literally do nothing". Well yeah... that´s what everyone enjoys. They would never get away with playing something this complex on a festival stage, irl people want to just listen to good music. Stuff like this, is entertainment content for youtube. It´s exactly like being a vinyl turntablism master. It´s fun for 3 minutes in a Dj battle, but you can´t listen and dance to it for 4 hours without getting tired.

Only this guy convinces me that DJ-ing actually requires a good amount of talent and effort. Not just standing there and playing songs one after the other. Every time I see this video I believe that DJ-ing is an Art.
