I think, this is most important as Delhi's constantly been ranked No 1 polluted city of the world. This pollution leads to cancer and respiratory and eye-diseases. Here, in the West, people are dividing garbage into three parts : Plastic, Paper and normal House waste. That's done by every household and hence three garbage bins are available in every house. @@abhijitd.517 Because Hinduism involves all kind of garbage that is used in worshiping in Temples. Not only that a hell lot of Edible oil and food is also wasted in name of offering in temples. Hindus also dispose statues in rivers after festivals are over. That is not the case with any other religion.

Yamuna cleaning can only be succesful if the industrial sewage is diverted after treatment to green pastures and trees around delhi,the badarpur plant which is to be developed into a green park with trees and plants can be provided with this water also lakes should be made around ncr and the treated water should be used to fill these lakes,1 lakh new trees should be planned in aravali and this water should be used to feed the roots of these trees.clean yamuna is only possible if no sewage water is directed in it.
