Yan Yan Gurt Creek Farm : Using the multi purpose trees to support the production

We met Andrew and Jill Stewart in their farm Yan Yan Gurt Creek, near Geelong.
Andrew and Jill are very involved in agroforestry. They are member of Otway agroforestry network and Master Tree Growers, two associations for the development of agroforestry.
Andrew, Jill and their three daughters are engaged to promote a way for a sustainable farming. They are doing a lot of tourism tours on their farm and would like to increase this tourism aspect.
What attracted us is their beautiful farm and the question of the sustainability and the environment is a real way of life.

Nous avons rencontré Andrew et Jill dans leur exploitation Yan Tan Gurt Creek, près de Geelong.
Andrew et Jill sont très engagés dans l’agroforesterie. Ils sont membres du réseau agroforestier de l’Otway et du Master « Tree Growers », deux associations pour le développement de l’agroforesterie.
Andrew et Jill ont une vision très intéressante et très complète de l’agroforesterie.
Ils agencent leur plantation afin de profiter de l’ensemble des bénéfices des arbres.
Andrew, Jill et leurs trois filles sont engagés pour la promotion d’une agriculture durable. Ils réalisent de nombreux tours pour le tourisme dans leur ferme et aimeraient augmenter cet aspect.
Ce qui nous a plu est leur magnifique exploitation et le fait que la question de la durabilité et de l’environnement est un réel schéma de vie pour eux.
