At this point, Life has beaten the fight out of the non-speaking character, he's just putting one foot in front of the other and waiting for the next disaster to strike. I completely understand the non-speaking character's situation, because I can relate... I've been married for 7 years to a wonderful woman who, unfortunately has bipolar with psychotic features, and had an abusive father AND an abusive sister. I have ADHD, and was bullied from kindergarten to graduation. As a result, I have serious crowd-anxiety, and DO NOT handle stress well. On June 24, 2023, there was a fire in our apartment complex. We didn't lose any property, but structural damage to other units forced us to move out. Within the six months following: she had a breakdown, was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, developed an abscess due to an infected tooth, found out her car needs $1700 worth of work to pass inspection, and lost her job. She's having difficulties with balance and speech due to the pain meds to control the neuralgia. The pain meds are also interfering with her head meds, so she's hearing voices, and sometimes can't tell what's real and what's not. Sometimes she thinks I'm just pretending to be her husband but am really some sort of secret operative sent to protect her. Sometimes she thinks I'm cheating on her (her first husband did that and screwed her over big time). So I get accused 3-4 times a week. We're also just squeaking by on bills. A recent dye-contrast MRI revealed a calcified lump near the trigeminal nerve, which might be causing the neuralgia, so they're going to try to remove it. All of this in six months. F_ck me very much, Life. So how are YOU doing?
