Such a good teacher, making it simple and showing the importance of getting the footwork right so the rest can follow in a natural way

This move has always felt awkward to me for many years. Thank you for teaching me how to get it working.

If you see the lineage holder and master rank making basic mistakes should you keep it to yourself? I know there is a tradition of keeping new students uninformed so that they can't challenge the masters and so new students can't take the technique and leave the school, so I just don't know if I'm seeing mistakes, intentional bad teaching, or an intentional removal of martial application from the technique to emphasize some health aspect.

I've watched some of Yan Jun's more recent videos and he has addressed the obvious flaws in his form since this video was put out (floating elbows, separation of lower and upper body during the kick and early shifting of weight forward on movements).

with all due respect, sir, may i know your qualifications, please? did you also study under a lineage holder and do you also hold a grand master rank? I'm asking because you seem to be very knowledgeable, but to critique a direct lineage holder, you need to have more than a passing fancy-you need to be in the same league at least, as i'm sure you know.

Thank you so much! I have practiced for years. . .starting with synchronized swimming as a child. Your clear, step by step instruction has provided details that have really made an impact in my practice. Thank you, again!
