It had happened in Hong Kong, where eventually all resources ran to China, and now it rear its ugly head in Chinese. What we want to see is good quality acting and production. However, it is all wasted on brainless idol chasing. Instead of investing on a good actress to lift her up to better, they are promoting, ‘plastic, fake and talentless” actress onto the set. Making them female leads, giving them all the resources and worst allowing them to elbow out some truly good actresses who should have been given the opportunity to prove themselves. Look at YangMi, three flops and she still making trashy shows, look at Jin Cheng, nose which could poke through a sheet of paper still acting as leading lady. Too many fakes, too many wannabes, it’s strangling the industry.

Yes, "songyun"s male costars' popularity shoot up faster than space x rocket when she steps on set". Yes, "xukai's acting suddenly levelled up nicely nuanced in ABAY compared to his past gigs". As far as I know Yang Zi is very conservative actress no torrid kissing, no bed scene like husband and wife I have nothing against “As beautiful as you” too much intimacy is not her things.

As u probably know, level of intimacy has to pass Chinese censorship authorities - result Chinese dramas are all about the same level. Have u actually watched "as beautiful as you"? Or only viewed promo clips snippets online ? If u had actually watched, u wld hv realised the kiss scenes are v gentle/loving, not torrid at all. I can say categorically, the level of "torrid" intimacy definitely NOT more than yangzi's past love dramas eg 亲爱的，热爱的 go go squid ( I know for a FACT, cos I'd seen both! 😂) ABAY scenes are so captivating cos they are really sweet n moving 心动感觉 for the audience, so many commented that the 2 leads songyun xukai just need to be interacting in the same frame, can be as "mundane" an event as walking together, and its feeling of 幸福 /宿命感 perfect match as if they just walked out from the novel itself🎉, its the 2 leads' superb natural chemistry, plus the Directors' use of lighting n camera language. The effect is top notch, completely diff from the-run-of the-mill typical love drama ( 现偶)。 The only one so-called more intimate scene - jixing's birthday, if you actually watched n compared, there is nothing explicit onscreen, regular kissing as per other drama😄! In fact, perhaps a bit less explicitly "intimate" than some other chinese dramas ( i won't name them). The way ABAY has captivated so many viewers is via the 2 lead actor/actress' undeniable amazing chemistry🎉, Compared to the average drama, ABAY scenes imho done a million times better and rendered superbly captivating by the 2 leads' acting chops/outstanding rapport, using unique lighting/ creative camera language by the Director!👍

But the intimate bed scene with Luo yunxi was done dressed ( only shoulders exposed) n with a thick pillow in between the 2 leads under the covers, this was revealed by the Director n the actors in an interview, and if u see the footage, u will see an unnatural "bulk" unaccounted for by the artiste's weight/sizes ( ie the pillow) under the covers. So thats probably for "conservative" reasons. there was therefore no direct contact btw the actors in that bed scene, in all likelihood, maybe arguably even less intimate than the lingering long bed scenes in YZ's Go Squid, possibly 🤔?.At end of day tho, conservative or otherwise isnt a yardstick to measure acting talent/ability, which is the main currency for an actor/actress. But i just like to point out inaccuracy in a comment when i see one, just a bit fastidious abt tat, like to get the facts straight. Gotta look at the full picture and not a snippet out-of-context. 😉

Respectfully, I just don't think there is a variety to Yang Xhi's roles. She seems to be a solid actress but her characters from Ashes of Love to The Oath of Love are somewhat the same. I was watching Follow Your Heart with Song Yi, because I loved her in Destined, but dropped the series because her character in that drama was the typical role that Yang Zhi usually takes. I hope she tries other dramas that would challenge her skills. As for Zhao Lusi, I didn't even finish that one drama she had with X-Nine and Xiao Zhan is my favorite. No, I don't feel like watching her for some reason. Sorry.

LYF lost its spark season 2. The actors were great, but the production did not deliver the story. I loved the book and the characters very much. But I was unable to connect with the drama like I did the book. Yangzi was a little to sweet vs her personality in the novel. She was very much like her gege and the scene where she died in tree was very well written but the drama was not.

Lost you forever 2 was mediocre. Everyone moping around in the name of "lurve". That's it. Let's be honest And lord there is something about Yang Zi facial expression I just find unappealing on a shallow note. I am talking that expression we see around 0:42 to 0:44 on that video up here.
