I love using the 3-D tours that are available online for famous places. I have huge memory palaces in the Louvre museum, and the forbidden city in China. 🥰

Thanks for being so honest, I do have trouble finding folks using it for grammar and your explanation MADE SO MUCH SENSE in terms of learn structure and just repeat vs memory palace...i finished your video.

Just a summary to be used later which I thought I should share. 1. Long term = Designate specific places 2. Grammar is more about muscle memory 3. Use memory palaces for order of things (names, numbers, words, etc) 4. Experiment with the size of your palaces 5. Be careful when overwriting memory palaces 6. Memory palaces shouldn't be used for everything. 7. Many images are boring to others. (Choose images that are meaningful to you)

What kind of technique do you use when you are learning a new subject? How is your learning process? Long videos are fine, don’t worry about It!

I can't believe I just saw "mdr" in your video 😂😂😂 Completely unexpected ! I d totally love to see a video about more advanced memory palace technique. Its been a few times I m looking for that kind of content... This video is very nice and clear, I sometimes wonder if I use the memory palace wrong when I find it useless in some situations but you just explained that maybe it is because its not adapted. Thanks!

Well, what memory techniques can i use in physics and maths ? I know these are a little practical subjects and based on implementation but there are certain things you need to remember like some of the formulas (like in coordinate geometry distance between two points or formulas of trigonometry various equation of tangents and normals etc) I hope you will help me with that I am already extremely grateful you for introducing me to world of memory, i got introduced when i saw you in steve harvey's show on youtube So, thanks a lot

Question would you recommend using the memory palace for spelling?
@SnakeAndTurtleQigong2 жыл бұрын
I do like to reuse certain memory palaces for certain things, like my kitchen for shopping lists. …But I wouldn’t do that for memorizing things like texts or permanent information. 💙😁🌲

How did you employ memory techniques for studying algorithms in programming? Or concepts in programming?
@wulymammoth4 жыл бұрын
RaniaIsAwesome you assume that memory and understanding are mutually exclusive. They’re not. For example, DFS and BFS traversals in a graph represented in a matrix. I can bang out that code in my sleep, so all I need to think about is adapting it to a problem when I recognize that I can apply it to some problem. Like I can derive Dijkstra, but because I don’t use it often enough, it’s a bit laborious to think through it and I would stumble through the implementation even if I understand it. If I could have it at the ready using memory techniques to burn them in like my other templates, it’d be useful. Not having to worry about writing the code is only half the battle if we’re talking about this in the context of technical interviews. The algorithm design is the other part. But you still have to have studied and internalized them in one fashion or another to be able to recall and adapt it to a problem
What do I do if my memory Palace burned down? And I lost everything b4 I could get it all out!!?

Yeah it doesnt even sound like it makes sense to use a memory palace to secure a procedural/muscle memory learned task rather than to secure your control over abstract information you need to remember via repeating a memory palace of it.

When learning a language you have to learn the meaning of thousands of words of vocabulary. So if you use a memory palace, you will need one with thousands of locations. That is just not goinng to work out.
