Yankee Boy Basin, Ouray Colorado

We take our Can Am side by side up Yankee Boy basin outside Ouray Colorado, for a scenic trip through the San Juan Mountains. The high Alpine lakes, and wild flowers add to the amazing mountain scenery. We also visit governor basin, Sidney basin, and Silver Basin while we are there.

To be honest, the map I still use today was a book they sold at the ridgeway gas station, Colorado backroads and atv trails. Another option is an app, like onx or the bfg app. Thanks!

I ve been going up there for at least 16 years. Still have our long travel rhino and added a Pro R to the fleet. This is by far a place everyone should see. You can rent jeeps in ouray or Silverton.
