@@YankeeArnoldMinistries Hello Dr Arnold, my name is Pastor Paul Gardiner, I'm from the UK. I live in a small town called Saffron Walden just outside of Cambridge, England, famous for its university. Your ministry has blessed my socks off! You are radically traditional and I love it! I was drifting off course with my ministry and started to waver about the same problem the church has slays faced, namely, works versus Grace. You have such an excellent gift of communicating deep theological truths that is both insightful and challenging, coupled with such a warm sense of humour and joy of The Lord. You truly are an inspiration to me. I encourage every one I meet , and family and friends to watch and listen to you preach. God bless you brother for preaching THE GOSPEL. Pastor Paul Gardiner

as a christian you only lose rewards not salvation, salvation is a free gift ..if you believe that you can lose it then you turn that free gift into a reward
@NikoFinn2 ай бұрын
You won't lose rewards, you only get rewards. To lose rewards implies you had them on the first place. If you don't serve God and live for Him, you can miss on getting rewards, not losing them.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because it has the power to save a lost soul, when you "believe". That is the simplicity of the gospel (good news). Receive your "free gift" and be saved. We are running out of time. Tomorrow is not promised. Thank you for this message Yankee. God bless you and Betty.

Wonderful message from a preacher that knows the true sovereignty of God / Jesus Christ - as one who gave those who believe such a huge gift of salvation that nothing they could ever do in return - no matter how magnanimous - could ever pay for that gift. That is why it is called 'grace'. Those who try to pay are those who don't appreciate God's true sovereignty or the sacrifice Jesus gave those who believe on him. We either need to be perfect by keeping all of the laws of God, or receive God's grace. There is no other option. We can only confess and repent of sin we are aware of when done for reverance and love of ('fear of) God, certainly not to notch up 'salvation' brownie points. To wash us of all sins for eternal salvation - sins that we are aware of and those we aren't aware of - requires us to believe on the only Jesus Christ who can atone for them on our behalf. Nothing else will do because individually confessing and repenting of those sins that we are aware of (we can't for those we aren't aware of) would leave too many sins left over to render that daily ritual to be almost useless. That is why we can't obey all of the Mosaic laws or confess our sins for forgiveness to cleanse us to salvation. There is nothing more insulting to Christ than to render his Grace 'cheap' or claim that it is 'easy believism'. Yet those most likely to say this are those that can't seem to grasp that Jesus provides grace and expects nothing in return because we are incapable of doing anything like enough in return. Acknowledging that fact is what honours and glorifies God.

The sad thing is, you will never hear this message of the gospel in 97 % of all the churches today. You will hear a man made gospel of works salvation that makes the cross of no effect. Matthew 7:15-23. They boast in what they have done instead of what Jesus did for us. John 6:40 and John 6:29. Romans 3:26-28. There will be no boasting in heaven. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. You cannot boast in 0. My wife of 63 years and I do what we do because we are saved, not to save us. The gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. Galatians 1:6-9. If any man preach any other gospel let him be accused. And He said it twice so we would get it. First Corinthians 1:18, First Corinthians 1:21. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness, but unto us who are saved, IT IS THE POWER OF GOD. For after that, by the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the FOOLISHNESS of preaching, to save them that BELIEVE. Not those that were chosen, but those that believe. Romans 6:23 The GIFT of God is eternal life. No one can earn it, and no one can lose it once you have it because it is eternal life, not temporary life or probationary life, but eternal life. John 10:28-29. Hebrews 13:5. First John 5:13. We can be chastened by the Lord, Colossians 3:5-6, and lose the blessing of God on our life, but not eternal life. And their are rewards in heaven for the faithful in Christ Jesus. First Corinthians 3:11-15. Love your teaching Brother Yankee. I compare what the bible says with what the preachers say. What you say lines up with scripture. Most churches are keeping people out of heaven with a false message. And whenever I hear a false message a red flag goes up by the Holy Spirit that lives in me that leads us into all truth. Thank God you got through COVID so you can preach the gospel a little longer. We need more like you who preach the truth instead of fables. The great commission. Go in to all the world and preach the gospel. Jesus died for sinners. Jesus said, "IF I MAKE YOU FREE, YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED.

How do you explain James 2:24. Thank you
@YankeeArnoldMinistries2 жыл бұрын
The word, "BRETHREN" shows that James is written to Believers on how to serve the Lord and not how to be saved. Salvation can never be by works or salvation must be annulled by grace. For more info please order my book, "The Gospel Driven Man". yankeearnold.com/store/product/the-gospel-driven-man/ James 2:24 is only to the believer and he will be justified in the eyes of others and the Lord for rewards. Do you have a sermon about backsliding? Just wondering 💭 my daughter has a friend who knows fornication is wrong, she says she is a Christian but she is sleeping with her boyfriend.
@YankeeArnoldMinistries2 жыл бұрын
It is best to find what she is trusting in to get her to Heaven. If she has trusted Christ alone take her at her word. If she does not live as a believer should, It will not affect her destination-Heaven- but it will affect her quality of life here and now. You need to read Heb 12 where it shows that a child of God can live in rebellion (I don't use the word backslide, it is mainly a word to describe rebellious Israel) and that God her father will chastise her. She is free to live as she pleases but not free of the consequences. Love her, but let her know that you disapprove of her decisions. Pray for her and be there when she needs you. Yankee To see results of rebellion, please read I Cor. 11:28-34

@@YankeeArnoldMinistries Can you please explain why you referenced that Corinthians verse? I looked it up and I cant see how it's relevant or helpful to what you were answering to Jillian about her daughter's friend. I have heard others explain this verse to be contextual to the situation with the Corinthians, in that they were eating lots and drinking lots and neglecting others in the Body of Christ by doing so, and such brough sickness upon themselves. Not the alternative interpretation that says we need to be in the Good books with God and the Church to avoid brining judgement on ourselves when we honor the Lord Body and Blood. Have you heard of these two varying interpretations, why did you mention it here at the end of this comment? Bless you Yankee!

@@jacobrogers6084 If a believer would examine themselves, correct the problem by judging themselves, then God may not have to. But God reserves the right to chasten those who refuses to correct sin in their life. Read these verses and you should come to this conclusion. 1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. If you read chapter 5 and 6 you will see that fornication is involving the body or temple of God which is your body. Yankee, hope this helps.
