We stayed at Maumee Bay State Park near Toledo a few weeks ago. We remembered this video and made it a point to visit Tony Packo’s while there. What a great place to eat. The chili dogs and fried pickles were the best. Thank you Will and Dawn for doing a vlog on this wonderful eatery with so much history. You helped lead us to a gem.

Thanks for the great review of Tony Packo’s! When my family visits, we always go to Packo’s. My Mom especially loved Cpl. Klinger on MASH and enjoyed visiting the original restaurant where you went. Great food, great people, a Toledo institution! Glad you enjoyed it.

Welcome to Toledo,Ohio area. I eat here frequently and great food 😋 The back of the menu has the whole story of the location and how it started and the history of the significance of the Buns. There is so much more to the Buns in the other room and memorabilia from MASH TV show and about Jamie Farr since he is from Toledo, Ohio. The Kitchen is also across from the restaurant is where the food is actually made at. Due to lack of service it depends if you are treated with a full dining staff or just get your meal like as a Cafe food line. There also used to be a band that plays there on the weekends with Jazz music and a magician going table to table to entertain you as well occasionally. The store gets orders from around the world for their produce there. It is not a Hotdog you are eating ,it is a Hungarian Sausage and they split them.

Welcome to Toledo. My father's side of the family is from that Neiborhood, and we grew up having Packo's probably once a month when i grew up. I am glad you guys enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I was dating a lady that didn't like their food because it was too spicy and she didn't like little family restaurants, she only liked chain restraints. She didn't last long because of that.

I remember when Jamie Farr ("Klinger" from MASH) praised Tony Packo on an episode of MASH. Mr. Farr was actually born in Toledo so I'm sure he asked the writers of MASH to incorporate Tony Packo's into a script

Of course, we're cruising around Pigeon Forge looking for the "yeller jeep" and you guys end up in my town. I used to work at Packos, skyline is sweet soup in comparison. Most of the signed buns are plastic or Styrofoam and made just for signing purposes.

A very right on review. Those HD are truly delicious. Next time try there homemade cabbage rolls. Truly yummy. Also the Hungarian spietzel has a delicious orange Hungarian gravy over them. Yummmmmmyyyyy. I’m originally from Toledo and I miss some of the regional foods. Try the Chii Mac next time. The oyster cracker. You did it well

Wasn't impressed with the half hotdog. Enjoyed the restaurant tho. If you ever travel on I-80 thru Ohio, stop at Jib-Jab in Girard , Ohio for the best dogs. IMO. Not the same atmosphere but amazing food. Love your hat Dawn, really pretty.

Welcome home to Michigan! While you are here, you should come to Jackson, MI and go to Virginia Coney Island and visit our train station! It's the oldest train station in the nation still in operation! A coney island hot dog from Jackson beats out a Detroit dog and Tony Packo's everytime! I've been to Packo's many time!
