Those purple berries are called Beautyberries. And they are eatable. You can find them all over Florida. I am actually surprised to see they got all the way to TN.

I loved the Sevierville tour! The fall decorations are so cool! We will be up there the middle of November, I hope some kind of of decorations will be there! The leaves will probably be off the trees.

We went last year at the end of October & beginning of November and there were still lots of color in Gatlinburg and Cades Cove. Once we passed Clingmans Dome there were more bare trees and there were less leaves on south. If you can ever work it out try the Gatlinburg the first week in January and pray for snow. All of the Christmas lights are still up, you have the place to yourself, and the lowest rates of the year. Loved it!
