@oldpapa...resources need to go to 2 or 3 everyday players. Remember, it's 47 million they need to stay under. That was the reported AAV they were to give Soto. Currently, we used appropriately 27 million on Fried. So we need to spread out 20 million or so, which I'm not sure they can do. We will see.

I'll never understand why the prospect rule is the way it is. Isn't it more impressive a non-top 100 guy won rookie of the year? Why lock it specifically under top 100 prospects? Which is a subjective list to begin with. I hope they revise it a little in the future. That way regardless of where they are ranked at the beginning of the season, the team gets a little draft bonus.

I will no longer be tuning into Fireside Yankees, principally because of one of the co-hosts, Ryan. He is a bombastic, verbose and self-consumed chatter box, who speaks as if a network were listening in, waiting to offer him a position. He rudely interrupts his partner, Alex, so frequently that he traverses from obnoxious to unbearable. He has no entertainment value whatsoever, and his partner would be best advised to reboot on a new show. Luckily, I watch the more refined Yankee podcasts where attention grabbers like Alex are rare. He's unfit for that format, irrespective of all the stats and categories he rattles away in lamentable verbosity. Hey Ryan, learn some decorum and stop interrupting your partner.
