I think you have to keep DJ rolling in case Ben Rice doesn't pan out. Plus, technically, it will be Oswaldo Cabrera as the platoon. He will play when DJ plays first.

A shame cuz Rizzo is a seasoned champ caliber player. The minute rookie Rice gets into a string of misplays and/or shit at bats the NY masses will be all over him. I’m loyal to an extent but I value greatness where it is. I don’t set unrealistic standards for any individual Yankee player.

It's wild that nobody is willing to give DJ some time to improve. He's played only 15 games and is coming back from injury. Judge sucked for the first 6 weeks of the season and nobody cared. Now I'm not saying judge and dj are the same type of player but give him a little time. Most players need 100 AB before they get in their flow of things

While I don’t disagree..based on the “eye” test he seems way more lumbering than before and his bat speed and ability to hit just about everything is not only diminished this year but last year..he just doesn’t look like the same player..hopefully I’m wrong and your are right.
