Yes, it was Hader. Cleared the bases (with a little help from the right fielder) to take the lead in the 8th inning of the wild card game to send the Nats on their magical run. I was at that game and it was pure pandemonium.

The one thing that is the issue with the Yankees has been consistent hitting. They have not shown the ability to be consistent. We will see if the Soto/Jazz add will be enough? Lastly, how are the Yankees been able to experiment? Oh thats right, Cashman has brought in enough pieces to make this happen. Not much talk about the roster construction lately....

I have been a Yankee fan my whole life, 35+ years now and I also do not think they are a World Series team. They will get to the ALCS and hopefully face the Astros and I have to see some payback for the Yankees. It all lands on Judge in the playoffs, he needs to get his butt going in the playoffs because if they loose early or do not make it to the World Series and he goes 3-40 or some crap, he is going to have to answer some hard questions. They need to play small ball, they need to work the counts, they need to get runners on base, they need to steal bases and they need to hit with runners on base and in scoring position. I know that is the basic idea for ALL teams, but the Yankees have always had issues with less then 2 outs getting guys home, and for the LOVE OF GOD please, please do not let Clay Holmes pitch in ANY close games. Then maybe, they will have a shot to make it to the World Series and 50/50 on winning it all.
