As a Londoner when they play these American sports in London it is always the same crowd. American ex pats, white British nerds who think liking an American sport makes them more interesting as people and event junkies who have no interest in the sport but want to post selfies of themselves at a novelty event. I found it interesting that stadium was full of white people and the stadium is in the most ethnic part of the uk and probably Europe and the lack of colour in the seats tells you whether Londoners were really interested. That is the whitest East London has been in 500 years goddamn lol. There was more diversity at a Klu Klux Klan rally than the crowd for this game lol

It is Juan, spot on. I watch every game I can in the UK (Angels fan) but have to rely mostly on highlights. This is a highly unusual score ( smaller 'pitch/playing field' ) cannot say there were that many errors... travelling at short notice even in luxury will affect players probably made the scores what they were. Keep in mind that these two games were very very high scoring. That's what made them last so long; there are times when the games become "pitcher's duels" with very few runs scored, and it gets tense up until the end.

I'm British and I found the whole experience just awesome. This was the second time that I have seen MLB. My first time was in 1994 when watching the Angels host the Orioles. But to see the Yankees playing in the UK was just too good an opportunity to miss, despite the ticket being £240.00. I did not miss one single pitch, unlike some who kept going out for food and beer etc. Actually there was a far better selection of food than the usual luke warm pies we get at our soccer grounds. Loved the bowl of chili beef nachos. Would not have missed it for the World, even though I did not arrive home until 1.25am.

I believe it has something to do with the fast bouncing turf, but also the batter's eye in center field. Players on both sides definitely saw the ball very well... I can't believe all the pitchers were that bad. It's more likely that it was some odd advantage for the batters.... Possibly the most doubles, and line drives I've ever seen. The corner outfielders seemed helpless with all that room to chase the ball. Fun to watch though.
