No its not. It's a morning song . It does sing about the heavens but I've heard my very own sicangu Lakota relatives sing this and they are fluent in our language. If it was funeral or memorial song they'd let us know because we are stern on songs like that. But just wanted to share that with you. I meet my uncle Lorenzo Dion Sr. Pretty sure my Yankton Dakota relatives wouldn't record funeral songs too
