The model I have is YSB12 G , Whats the G letter for and the design seems to be a little different.

I have just brought a 30 foot yacht with an ysm12. The decompression lever just wiggles around and does nothing. Can you just take off the valve cover to access it?

Yes, you can access the decompression handle by taking off the valve cover... Decompression handle is part of the valve cover...

where do you change the zincs on this ?

Will Williams Hi, i just did that on mine. It is a 24 mm bolt on top of the engine, right by the coolingwater temperature gauge. :)

Will Williams sorry i was mistaken, i got a ysm12. on ysb its that red square bolt, same position.
