Yanni has a very deep musical sense to a degree that when he describes his pieces you feel that his description really matches his music. The pieces' titles always belong to the music in the pieces that you feel they match. Yanni taught me to understand the language of music wich is universal.

Yanni has changed in the couple of years. After performing in different places in the world where was not used to since then, I am an Arabic fan of Yanni for more than 20 years and I feel what you are saying exactly.... this is not the YANNI who was back in 90s...may be he has to follow the pace of life or even money may be....he performed here in Jordan two years ago and I was dreaming in my whole life to see him performing in my country fore example...and Saudi arabia now is CHANGING A lot!!!!

Saudi Arabia, one of the richest countries, and can not afford the price of having an orchestra at the level of Yanni? ... Actually Yanni's music is phenomenal, but this concert is far from the high standards with those who made Yanni to be Known around the world.

Man something is just way off with his sound now. The violinist needs help. Yes I know is Lindsay Deutsch, but there is something off. Also, the main keyboard sound has the attack setting too high, and the harmonica for the reflections of passion is too punchy...the best harmonica sound was from Tribute, although reflections was not on the CD. I realize orchestra is expensive but for his music he needs FULL orchestra....and another thing, bring back the oboe, it adds so much.

@connexpert89695 жыл бұрын
Of course you'll find it different from the original versions with the old crew. it can't be 100% identical. i try to think of it like this: if this was the first time i'm listening to yanni, will i like his music ? and the answer is always yes. and even though lindsay deutsch is talented, karen briggs and mary simpson are on another level so she can't play like them but she plays it in her own way and i'm fine with that.
@connexpert89695 жыл бұрын
@@fortbumper it's the same old songs what are you on about ? some crew members are missing yeah thats for sure but thats because they're getting old or are on other projects right now

Dipanjan Mitra you are a complete moron. You know NOTHING about sound. Do you play an instrument, probably not, or you are horrible at it if you do. No one can help you. You are a failure at life no doubt. I was simply saying that anyone with a trained ear (not you) can hear that the violin is OFF. It’s people like you who are afraid to critique an artist and keep generic music mainstream.

Tambien prefiero a Simpson

Nothing will come close to LIVE AT THE ACROPOLIS....that huge orchestra and the other instrumentation was on a different level ...this sounds pretty cheap and almost like it could be recorded in a home studio on a computer.

I'm sorry to say this, but I look at the musicians and can see they are tired of playing those same songs year after year. I love Yanni, but he needs to write all new music. Now!
@PapaDutch5 жыл бұрын
I hate to say it, but Yanni stopped progressing long ago. Like Robert Heinlein towards the end, re-gurgitating the same thing over and over, or the Beach Boys - stuck playing the same thing Yanni reached the peak of his creativety with the Acropolis performance, but ever since I have heard nothing new from him, and that is sad It is possible that his best album was piano solo just before the Acropolis concert I say this because he was CREATING back then, and it seems he has come up with nothing like it since I had hoped to hear something new in 2019, but there isn't There just isn't... And due to that I think of him as: "YAWNIE" ~EVEN THOUGH he is a master musician It needs something new to happen because as it stands it seems like he quit creating and is resting on his laurels *study Joe Satriani, a man who has not stood still
@madhujith5 жыл бұрын
The audio is not balanced at all and tuned to the higher notes making it more shrill than melodious, given that I'm listening to Yanni for over 25 years now, I've seen the quality drop off significantly.... The new violinist completely lost it and in my mind completely lost Felistia the soul is completely absent.
@angelalfonsorojasquiroz59365 жыл бұрын
