Regarding the father-son situation, I agree that it’s weird that a child has been earning money for 3 years but never given anything to his father… But the question I would ask the father is “Did you teach your son generousity?” Small situations like scolding your child for bringing his friend to eat in your house because ‘there is not enough food’ will teach a child a lot. There are many things our parents may never have taught us or even shown us but they expect us to automatically know. Even personally, there are things I do and my mom says it’s not normal and I remind her of when she taught me that behaviour 25 years ago (directly or indirectly 😂 - coz if you do it and think I’ve not seen, na you know). Nothing drastic though 😂😂😂
@VictorineBihTakwe Жыл бұрын
This is true, sometimes we don’t do things because we don’t know. It’s up to us now to teach our Children the right way to go and pray that we ourselves know what we are teaching them🥲🥲🥲 coz we may think we are right but are not🤣

I don’t think it is an obligation to give to your parents when they are still able bodied and can take care of themselves, but if you love and honor someone you can’t help giving to them (whether it’s time, money, encouragement, any gift).
@kundekates3092 Жыл бұрын
for me I think as a child we have to help our parents esp when they are getting aged and we have the means to . there us this local saying that children are their parents walking sticks. meaning we have to help our parents when they cant .

My opinion about the salary stuff, I think the say children should carter for their parents so I think the child as well needs to give something for his parents out if his salary.
@VictorineBihTakwe Жыл бұрын

Funny enough , My Father use to share his salary with us at home ...like everyone has something from it at the end of the month and that's minus our fees and every other need .. Therefore, "in my humble opinion", it is only fair to give your parents who have supported you a token ...at least ! That is a sign of gratitude and Respect .. Maybe, as you earn more, you will be able to give more ..The more you give , the more you receive...The Pa is right.

In my opinion, you are not obliged to give them money. Cuz well if you don't they can't take it from you. But as a child, it's your duty to take care of them...they don't even have to request for it. God bless all those who are taking care of their parents and I hope those who have the means and are not, can start doing so. My 2 cents
